Rules

Short and simple, as a cup should be. Questions go to the organisers through your club.

Entry

  • The entry fee is £25 per team. It covers the final's venue, officials, the trophy, and the running of the competition.
  • All match fees are split between both teams.

Players & eligibility

  • Standard men's 11-a-side rules apply.
  • Any club-registered player is eligible: players are registered to the club, not to a specific team.

Match format

  • Every tie is a single leg. There are no replays.
  • If a tie is level after 90 minutes it goes straight to a penalty shootout. There is no extra time.

The draw

  • Round of 16: drawn strictly cross-league, so a club can never meet a club from its own league. Four teams from each league are drawn at home.
  • Quarter-final and semi-final: fresh open random draws of the surviving winners. There is no fixed bracket.
  • The final: no draw. One match at a neutral venue.
